| Customer Reviews: fun intro to skip counting September 3, 2010 C. L. Yarborough (Mobile, AL) My son received several of these books by Stuart J. Murphy for Christmas. We really enjoy reading them together. In this one, skip counting by 2's, 3's and 4's is introduced. My 3 year old and 5 year old will say the numbers with me as I read. Fun stuff!
If you like this book, you might also like Leaping Lizards (skip counting by 5's and 10's) and Jack The Builder (basic addition to 17), both by Stuart J. Murphy. One of my children also enjoys The Grapes of Math, but the other child definitely does not.

Math can be fun! March 25, 2003 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My children really enjoy Stuart Murphy's Math Start series. They introduce children to simple math concepts in a colorful format. Of course, you can't expect your children to learn all of their math skills by reading picture books, but they are great supplemental material. And they are great to read to preschoolers so that when it does come time to learn math in school, it is not a completely foreign subject. Spunky Monkeys on Parade is a fun book!
